These beautiful Vintage Mother of Pearl American Indian – Zuni Tribe, Hand Carved and inlayed Cardinal Bird Cameos are joined with a 1940’s jewel. 18 Carat Gold Earpost.
The Zuni believed that the Cardinal bird was a messenger of the spirits. Cardinals represent devotion, loving relationships, courtship and monogamy between couples.
The Zuni Indian Jewellery is well known for their amazing stone cutting techniques, and the use of turquoise, shells and small stones to meld their designs one by one.
